Artisan: Master, what will come of me?

A carpenter, you were!
A hairdresser, you have been!
A workman, you are!
A tradesman, you will continually be!

To artisan I offer this thanks,
     when needing something like craftsman
When writing poetry and drawing blanks,
     I often settle using journeyman

I have been seaching ever more,
hoping again to sing your praise.
For words, I very much adore,
     lacking me in several ways.

Sonnet (meta-poetry)
Artisan

Am I an artist writer without brains?
This meter sings, but lacks some content speed
Especially for now, your topic strains
An algorithm tight and neat I need.

My network graph is vast! It burns and pops
This early version here my scripts expose
Computer crafted prose, it never stops
Perhaps one day my verse will smell of rose.

But artists die with edges left in space
For what you type in my website as shown
You might ask human souls should I replace
A phrase, a word, a blurb, it’s clear I’m thrown.

I sort them quickly, making artists wince,
These scrambled lines don’t hide my ignorance!

Can I make a pulse, delivered so beings might see
Terse inviting abstracts, vividly imparting, and oh now imparted free?
Worker or gaffer look all too manifest. But is skinner?
Operative, labor? - or labourer, employee? Damn! I neglected spinner!
I reason craftsman and therefore artificer, but frankly ought I
- given meanings so - notations written from computers spry?
