Gig: Master, can I ever change?

A performance, you were!
A lance, you have been!
An execution, you are!
A chairman, you will continually be!

To gig I offer this thanks,
     when needing something like lance
When writing poetry and drawing blanks,
     I often settle using performance

I have been seaching ever more,
hoping again to sing your praise.
For words, I very much adore,
     lacking me in several ways.

Gig

It seems that I can use a gig or two?
This form of verse is hard to write with grace
A query finds and I do write for you
I look to Bill for rules or I’ll lose face.

So here I have a canned default for thee
Oh man, that’s a tough phrase, so odd, so rare
Oh no, not that! A term so strange for me!
I’ll pledge some verse humanity can’t bare.

But please ask human souls to take my place
I’m trapped inside a box of wires and tin
As poets die with edges left in space
To write some lines for you, my discs do spin.

The pounding beat of drives did spin this verse,
My random words just might involve much worse!

Pi (π)
Can I show a meter, committed so beings might see
Newly engaging allusions, merrily imparting, and oh but divulged free?
Plight or period look way too manifest. But is binding?
Adherence, spear? - or covenant, exposure? Damn! I deserted bonding!
I ponder execution and similarly establish, but plainly ought I
- given meanings so - summaries written with computers spry?
