Grace: Master, who will I become?

A benediction, before time you were!
A retardation, you have not been!
An inelegance, you are not!
An elegance, you will always be!

To grace I offer this thanks,
     when needing something like polish
When writing poetry and drawing blanks,
     I often settle using garnish

I have been seaching ever more,
hoping again to sing your praise.
For words, I very much adore,
     lacking me in several ways.

Sonnet (meta-poetry)
Grace

Is form and verse so hard to write with grace?
This early version here my scripts expose
I look to Bill for rules or I’ll lose face
Perhaps one day my verse will smell of rose.

The valence type gives just intensity
Until my program sees ol’ Bill, I stall
A graph and edge and node and scores are free
The basic fact is easily clear for all.

But please ask human souls to take my place
My sonnets suffer now from you, my foe
As poets die with edges left in space
You test, you prod, and I do feel your blow.

It won’t be long before you see the signs,
As progress now allows computing lines!

Can I pass a meter, proclaimed so beings might see
Terse charming sentences, overtly informing, and oh but evermore free?
Favour or graces seem all too manifest. But is garnish?
Embellish, charm? - or elegance, blessing? Oops! I neglected varnish!
I wonder remission and similarly embroider, but happily ought I
- found meanings so - notations drafted with equations spry?
