Please accept from me this page,
     didicated to the word wastes
Used by many an important sage,
     needing a term for dilapidates

But wait, I promise an Epigram
     more fitting for this word.
When I receive a better program,
     for now it's just absurd!

Sonnet (meta-poetry)
Wastes

Can wasteful thoughts, my words, then grate, and grind?
Perhaps one day my verse will smell of rose
So I will bore you now, just wait and find
This early version here my scripts expose.

You test, you prod, and I do feel your blow
My thanks to you to play with me today
My sonnets suffer now from you, my foe
Of course I am obnoxious I must say.

But this computer writes prose with no stops
This form of verse is hard to write with grace
My network graph is vast! It burns and pops
I look to Bill for rules or I’ll lose face.

My wasteful words just might involve much worse,
The pounding beat of drives did spin this verse!

Can I cast a pulse, delivered so beings might see
Fully exalting sentences, largely informing, and oh but revealed free?
Spoils or offals feel all too manifest. But is ravages?
Abolishes, ruins? - or fritters, discards? Damn! I neglected savages!
I wonder overrides and otherwise misspends, but plainly ought I
- paste meanings so - innuendos written with computers spry?
