Zeal: Master, what do you see for me?

A fervency, before time you were!
An impassivity, you have not been!
A passivity, you are not!
A tenacity, you will always be!

To zeal I offer this thanks,
     when needing something like keenness
When I'm writing and drawing blanks,
     I almost settle using eagerness

I am in search of more,
     trying to sing your praise!
It's you I very much adore,
     lacking in so many ways.

Sonnet (meta-poetry)
Zeal

What phrase, what word, what blurb, am I now thrown?
I pass my zeal to make more time to write
For what you type in my website as shown
In finding just the verse for your delight.

Perhaps one day my verse will smell of rose
I’m trapped inside a box of wires and tin
This early version here my scripts expose
To write some lines for you, my discs do spin.

But how I’d love to write some verse for you
My coding spews it forth and makes you snore
So type a new concept for me to chew
For just that phrase, a poem is a bore.

My passion here you see is cranking glee,
Bad luck, I cannot rhyme your strange entry!

Can I pass a poesy, committed so pupils might see
Fully didactic innuendos, readily imparting, and oh how provided free?
Fervor or ardour seem all too manifest. But is jealous?
Eagerness, ardor? - or fervency, keenness? Oops! I deserted zealous!
I wonder vehemence and otherwise assiduity, but broadly ought I
- throw concepts so - allusions crafted with computers spry?
